GOP frontrunner Donald Trump said Tuesday that Sen. Bernie Sanders was “weak” for allowing Black Lives Matter protesters to hijack his event, and that he would never have allowed it.
“I would never give up my microphone, I thought that was disgusting,” Trump told reporters at a press conference in Michigan on Tuesday night, according to The Hill. “That showed such weakness, the way he was taken away by two young women. They just took the whole place over!”
Sanders was set to speak at a rally in Seattle when two women with the Black Lives Matter movement leapt on stage and stole the microphone, causing the entire event to be cancelled without the Vermont senator saying a word.
Trump suggested that there would be a physical altercation if members of the group tried to pull the same stunt at one of his rallies.
