Bad Storms Couldn't Quell Black Chicago Violence - 2 dead, 11 wounded since Monday morning

Two men were killed and at least 11 other people were wounded in shootings citywide since Monday morning, police said.

A man in his 30s was found shot dead on a porch in the East Garfield Park neighborhood Monday night, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He had been shot in the back and neck at about 9:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Monroe Street, Greer said. Shortly afterward, police found a woman in the 4000 block of West Lake Street with gunshot wounds to the arm. She said she had been shot in the same incident on Monroe Street.
