FLINT, MI – The father of a 1-year-old boy killed in a double homicide early Monday morning has identified the two who were shot and killed at a home on Flint's north side.

General Jasper Tyler Jr. said his toddler son, Genesis General Tyler, and Rita Langworthy, 70, were shot inside Langworthy's home in the 200 block of West Home Avenue, in the early morning hours of Aug. 10.

Flint police responded at 2:24 a.m. to reports of shots fired into a home.
Police had not identified the victims, but did say two people were shot and later died at a hospital.

General Tyler said his eight children were staying the night with Langworthy, whom he referred to as their grandmother, because the children hadn't seen her in a couple of weeks.
"I can't believe this," Tyler said. "We've lost so much."

The other children in the home ranged in age from 1 to 12 years old, the family said.
