Chatty Beaner Daniel Gutierrez slapped person who asked him to stop talking during movie: Cops

Chatty Beaner, Daniel Gutierrez was charged with misdemeanor battery after slapping a person who asked him to stop talking during a movie Friday at a New Lenox theater, New Lenox police said.

Daniel Gutierrez was talking on his cellphone after the movie began, said Deputy Chief Robert Pawlisz of the New Lenox Police Department. Another man asked Gutierrez several times to be quiet and turn off his phone, police said. When Gutierrez did not comply, the man reported Gutierrez to a theater employee. The employee then told Gutierrez to turn off his phone, and Gutierrez complied, police said.

Gutierrez again used his phone after the theater employee left, the complainant again requested that he put his phone away, and Gutierrez then slapped him, police said.

Gutierrez was released on a signature bond after making a phone call, Pawlisz said.
