Re-Hiring Retired Officers? The Lodge has received many telephone calls today from active and retired officers regarding a story they heard on the news about the City re-hiring retired officers to allow the active officers to work the streets again. At this moment, the Lodge has no particular details and no official notification about this action. When (and if) this plan comes to be, we will make sure the members are notified immediately. Veterans Needed The Lodge would like to dedicate the November 2015 FOP News magazine to our Members who have served our Country in the Military. We plan on publishing as many of our Members/Veterans in their Military uniforms as we can gather. If this is something you may be interested in, please e-mail Doreen Plachta a photograph of you in your Military Uniform. Please also send us your name, telephone number, the Branch of service and your date served. You are also welcome to submit a memory or short story that stands out and has stuck with you during your time of service. We will publish some of the stories submitted.
