At  least 19 people have been wounded since Friday afternoon in shootings citywide, police said.

The latest shooting happened about 5:45 a.m. Saturday in the city's West Garfield Park neighborhood.

A 35-year-old man was standing in the 4700 block of West Jackson Boulevard when a gray sedan pulled up and someone inside fired shots.

Shortly after the attack, the man arrived at Loretto Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest, and a graze wound to the elbow, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

The man was listed in critical condition and was expected to be transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital.
