Lanes on the outbound Dan Ryan have re-opened after a shooting on the expressway that injured two people.
Two men were hit by gunfire near 71st Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. All outbound lanes in the area were temporarily shut down while police searched the area for evidence.
It's not clear if the car or the people inside were the intended targets, police said, and the two people shot were transported to a local hospital and are expected to recover.
Police are continuing to investigate.
