A "person of interest" in a Kenosha County homicide investigation eluded sheriff's deputies in a high speed vehicle pursuit Friday, the sheriff's department said.
Andrew Mario Obregon, 32, is wanted for questioning in connection with a body that was found Saturday in the area of County Highway A/7th St. in Paris Township, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
The news release provides no details on the victim or the manner of death.
A body found in a cornfield at that location over the weekend has been identified as that of Tywon Anderson, 37, of Kenosha, who had been missing since Sept. 19, according to a report from WISN-TV in Milwaukee.
About 2 p.m. Friday deputies chased Obregon through areas of Salem and Brighton in Kenosha County and Kansasville and Union Grove in Racine County, according to the sheriff's office news release.
Obregon was driving a stolen black 1988 Ford Mustang and ultimately eluded officers, according to the release.
His 60-year-old mother was arrested Friday on accusations of obstruction and aiding a felon, the sheriff's office said.
Anyone with information on Obregon's whereabouts is urged to call the Kenosha Sheriff's Department at (262) 605-5100.
