A police officer reported Leo Amin repeatedly threatened to show up at the police station with "armor-piercing bullets" and made references to al-Qaida and the Taliban - yet judges continued to let this man walk upon our streets free!

PHOTOS: Leo "The Muslim Porker" Amin, right, killed himself hours after killing Dena "Deeper!" Seymour last month, authorities say.

Much like the way he initially charmed the women he dated, Leo Amin "presented well" in court — calm, compliant and respectful — even when facing charges of rape or resisting arrest.

That could help explain why he could still legally carry a gun and was not in jail Sept. 29, the day authorities said he shot Dena Seymour multiple times, killing her in her home near Grayslake.

Hours later, Amin was found dead at a Chicago rooftop bar, where he had taken his life.

Seymour's loved ones are angry at what they believe to be missed chances to prevent the death of the 46-year-old woman described as kind, friendly and utterly unaware of Amin's criminal history. Just a few days earlier, Seymour had told a friend that Amin wanted a more serious commitment and was mad that she hadn't changed her Facebook relationship status or introduced him as her boyfriend.

What she didn't know was that Amin had been arrested May 9 outside Pittsburgh and accused of raping a woman at a hotel. Despite felony charges including rape, he was released from jail and allowed to return to Illinois.

At the time of that arrest, Amin, 30, of Crystal Lake, was already on probation in Cook County from a 2014 arrest in Rosemont for aggravated assault and resisting arrest. An officer reported Amin repeatedly threatened to show up at the police station with "armor-piercing bullets" and made references to al-Qaida and the Taliban.
