About 3:20 a.m., the 36-year-old was at a party in the 1100 block of North Lawler when another male at the party shot him in the head, police said.
A witness claimed the shooting occurred after a verbal altercation over the last of the chicken wings.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he later died, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not confirm the death Saturday morning.
