Two suspects were arrested after they crashed their car while fleeing a shooting in Bronzeville that wounded two men Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Six other men, a woman and two boys were later injured in the West Englewood, West Chatham, Gresham and Belmont Central neighborhoods in separate shootings.

In the earlier shooting, two victims, both 25, were walking on the 200 block of East 51st Street when they were shot, police said. One of the men was hit in the hand, and the other was wounded in the buttocks and shoulder, according to authorities.

Both were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions stabilized.

The shots were fired from a passing black car, police said. Responding officers saw a car matching the description and tried to stop it. The car rolled after a short pursuit, police said.

One of men in the car suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.
