Born February 21, 1947, at peace, October 12, 2015, Vietnam veteran, U.S. Navy, served 1967-1970, retired CPD, former husband of Cecilia Kornfeind, loving father of Carrie (Kevin O'Malley) Kornfeind and Eric (Amanda Baiocchi) Kornfeind. Cherished brother to Frank (Sandra) Kornfeind, Kathy Fredin, Pamela Kornfeind and Dawn Picchetti. Beloved son of the late Albert Kornfeind and the late Helene (Richard) Wassman. Cherished uncle, cousin and friend to many. Devoted Chicago Bulls fan. Always was and always will be. Funeral Saturday 9:30 am from Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave. to St. Francis Borgia Church. Mass 10:30 am. Interment private. Visitation Friday 3:00 – 9:00 pm with St. Jude League service followed immediately by Navy Honor Guard tribute at 7:00 pm.
