A 42-year-old Maryland woman has taken the “kiss my grits” phrase from the hit 1970s show “Alice” to a whole new level, according to police.
Alexis Stanton has been charged with assault after allegedly pouring hot grits on a sleeping man in her home, then beating him with a baseball bat.
According to NBC Washington, the man jumped out of bed when the grits hit him and Stanton then used the bat to bash in his head.
The arrest warrant states the victim walked out of the house under his own power, but did suffer burns and was bloodied.
