Chicago Police have opened a death investigation after a body was found in a vehicle that had been burned on the Far South Side, officials said.
Police responded to the 10700 block of South Eggleston Avenue in the Roseland neighborhood at 2:10 p.m. and found a body in a car, said Officer Thomas Sweeney.
The vehicle had been on fire when fire officials responded and the body was discovered.
Details about the identity, gender and age of the body were not available, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
