"This is what I do."
This was the last thing a man said before he was pushed out of a Ohio City home when a woman found him standing over her at 5 a.m. with his pants down according to NewsNet5. The 37-year-old woman woke up to the man in her bedroom holding his private parts in one hand and his belt in the other. Adrenaline took over and the woman forced the man out of her apartment as she rightfully feared for her safety.
As if dropping trou and hovering over sleeping people isn't creepy enough, the responding police officers found out exactly what the man meant by "This is what I do." The officers and Ohio City woman found four cans of orange soda emptied all over her antique dining room table, cigarettes burning in the bathroom, the TV left on and dirty socks on the ground. The man also stole approximately $400 and the woman's ID. A shocking discovery on the woman's couch may mean this wasn't this man's first foray into creepily-specific breaking and entering.
The police found a ring of keys left behind by the man which included a key to the woman's home in addition to several other house keys.
"There were other people's house keys on that ring, so this must be what he does," the woman told NewsNet5. "He must be going into people's houses all over the place and not getting caught. I don't think he realized I was going to wake up."
Cleveland police responded to a similar call later that morning around 7:30 a.m. on West 29th Street in which a woman reported someone broke into her home, made a cup of coffee and left his or her shoes.
