He Could Be Obama's Son - Newaygo County corrections officer Zachary Clark accused of sex with woman on probation

NEWAYGO COUNTY, MI -- A former Newaygo County corrections officer faces six counts of criminal sexual conduct for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a woman who was on probation in the county.

Zachary Almon Clark, 30, is accused of having sexual contact with a 27-year-old Newaygo woman who was released from jail and placed on supervised probation. Their relationship lasted about two months in the winter while he was employed by the sheriff's department, authorities said.

Clark, of Big Prairie Township, had worked in corrections for the sheriff's department for two years prior to resigning July 9, Sheriff Pat Hedlund said.

He was arraigned Thursday, Aug. 13, on six counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison. Clark is also charged with a misdemeanor count of assault and battery stemming from an incident with a male inmate.
