Detroit Police are investigating the fatal shooting of 50-year-old Gloria Wright.
Wright, a mother of 12, was shot and killed in her home on the 15000 block of Parkside on the city's west side Monday night. She was the only one home at the time of the shooting.
"I just want them to find out who killed my mom," said Robin Hornbuckle, one of Wright's daughters.
Wright's killer fired multiple shots through the front door of the house where she lived with her boyfriend and three of her adult children.
Some of Wright's children suspect she may have known her killer and was answering the front door when she was fatally shot.
The gun used was powerful enough to shoot through the metal part of the door, and left a large exit hole in the door.
Several of Wright's children live in the immediate area and rushed to the scene when they learned that their mother had been shot and killed.
The motive for the shooting is unknown and the investigation is continuing.
If you have any information on Wright's murder, you're asked to call Detroit Police immediately at (313)596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1(800)SPEAK-UP where you can remain anonymous.
