Portage police arrested a Chicago woman Friday after she allegedly tried to use a fraudulent gift card at a local drug store and later jumped out of the back of an ambulance on U.S. 6 in front of Portage High School.
Kahdijah Terry, 21, faces felony charges of fraud, battery and identity deception, as well as a misdemeanor charge of resisting law enforcement. Police said she also had two warrants out of Illinois for failure to appear for forgery and probation violation.
An employee at Walgreens, 5995 U.S. 6, contacted police around 2 p.m. Friday after Terry allegedly tried to purchase a gift card with a fraudulent gift card, and tried using five separate gift cards to make the purchase before it went through.
