Charges are pending after a person ran away from a traffic crash involving a stolen automobile Sunday in northwest suburban Wheeling.
The crash happened at 3:24 p.m. near the intersection of Dundee and Wolf roads, Wheeling Deputy Chief of Police Todd Wolff said.
One of the cars was reported stolen from Chicago, and the driver of that vehicle ran away after the crash, Wolff said. He was apprehended about 30 minutes later, and charges were pending as of Monday morning.
