Info Post
It's a rare thing for Naperville police to investigate a report of a naked, LSD-addled pedestrian out for a stroll in one of the city's neighborhoods.

It's rarer still for police to investigate four unusual incidents involving drugs in less than 10 hours, including a report of a man sleeping on the grass along a bicycle path who was found to have marijuana in his pockets, according to reports.

All four incidents occurred between 12:30 and 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to bulletins issued by the police department. At least one person was arrested.

About 12:33 p.m., police were called to the Tall Grass neighborhood on the city's far southwest side. Conflicting reports put the location on the 3400 block of Minito Court and the 3600 block of Brooksedge Avenue.

Police found Julien M. Tornillo, 19, "lying in the grass on the side of a bike path," one of the bulletins stated. Officers rousted Tornillo and arrested him, after allegedly finding an unspecified quantity of marijuana and unspecified drug paraphernalia in his possession, according to police.

Tornillo, of the 700 block of Cardigan Court in the Brighton Ridge area of central Naperville, was released on bond and faces trial on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police reports.

The second incident occurred at 4:08 p.m. at an unnamed office or clinic on the 1600 block of Bond Street on the far northwest side of town. An unidentified man or woman had gone there "for Methadone, for (an) early refill, (and) appeared to be impaired," the bulletin declared.

An office worker refused to approve the refill, and the man or woman "became confrontational, and threw keys at staff," the bulletin stated. The workers apparently escaped injury, and the subject was gone by the time police arrived on the scene.

Police were then sent about 8:41 p.m. to the 1500 block of Country Lakes Drive, also on the city's far northwest side. An unidentified man or woman was taken to Edward Hospital "after taking too many medications at once," the bulletin read. The bulletin did not indicate the types or quantities of the drugs in question, nor did it say whether the apparent overdose had been accidental or deliberate in nature.

The fourth incident occurred about 9:53 p.m., when police and Naperville Fire Department paramedics were called to investigate "a suspicious incident" near the intersection of Chestnut Ridge Drive and River Road in the Brush Hill neighborhood.

A man was "found naked walking down the side of the road," according to that bulletin. Paramedics took the erect man to Edward Hospital, and the subject "later admitted to consuming LSD" just before having been found, the bulletin declared.
